This small family car was manufactured by Citroen in 1997 and it can be said as a development of Citroen ZX. Citroen Xsara was presented in two body styles; three and five-door hatchback and five-door. The interesting thing about the Citroen Xsara is that it contained straight-4 engine range which included 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0-litre petrol engines as well as 1.6, 1.9 and 2.0-litre turbo diesels.
3 years after its production, it underwent its first facelift in 2000 which made it a bit stiffer but the handling was improved and there were some minor modifications too, like the addition of the multiplex wiring. Xsara WRC was the rally car manufactured by Citroen and it was the most successful car to compete in World Rally Championship. However, the 2002 version of the Xsara came with minor interior modifications like different way of controlling the sound system from the steering wheel.
