British Motor Company started the production of this small economy car in the starting of 1959 and it has a massive history of 21 years. The best thing about this car is that it offers space like of a van can be said as a space saving front wheel drive. Because of this, the 80% of the car’s area can be used for the passengers. This small economy is car is somehow related to the Volkswagen Beetle which also happens to be its competitor.
There are a lot of other names for this car such as Austin Mini, Austin Seven, Leyland Mini and Morris 850. It was presented for sale in 2 door saloon and 2 door estate at first and the 2 door van and 2 door pickup version came later. During its time, it won a lot of awards but the biggest of them is the Car of the Century in 1995.
