Vespa brand has a joyful history with its Indian association and it had produced many great two-wheeler scooters with its former associate LML. The brand has parted with LML and has built a brand new manufacturing unit at Baramati, Gujrat, India in 2007. The first scooter LX 125 from Piaggio has been launched and it is a retro looking automatic vehicle which greatly tributes its ancestor the original Vespa from 1946. The vehicle is of compact dimensions with plenty of curves and a chrome rear-view mirrors flanked headlamp. Front suspensions are guarded by a curvy mudguard and it has alloy-wheel with multi-spokes. Except the chrome grille and the rectangular indicators the scooter reminds of the old with its centre cowl in the front apron. Around cluster of instruments housing fuel gauge, speedometer, indicator lights and digital clock is employed for the LX. The scooter has model switchgear and it also has a set of indicators which are the push-to-cancel types.
