Nissan S30 is known to be the first of the series of Nissan and it was a two seat coupe. There were several variants launched by the Datsun but all of them had a 4-wheel independent suspension that helped in offering a smooth ride. The main reason it became popular in the US markets is because it had a relatively cheap price than the other sports cars at that time.

The other non-USA markets still received the 260Z coupe and the 260Z 2+2 hatchback during the 1975 and 1978 versions. The 240Z was also a popular model and these early cars had many subtle but notable features differing from later cars. However, it was also used widely in the racing and its production lasted for 9 years. It was not a huge success as a rally car because of the technical issues but as a 2 door coupe it did good business.
