Vauxhall achieves Landmark year for sales in Scotland

Vauxhall has achieved a great victory over its competitors and in the last year it has sold 27,739 units in Scotland and became the biggest automobile seller for the 6th year running. It was also a celebration moment for Corsa supermini, becoming the top-selling model in the country for the past 6 years. The Astra, the popular model from Vauxhall came in the 5th place with 6,545 units sold. The marketing success was attributed to Lifetime Warranty and Vauxhall Flexible Finance designed to boost sales.

On the occasion Gordon Hannen, Manager, Regional Operations for Vauxhall in Scotland told reporters that the company was extremely happy with the results and highly pleased to see their car Corsa becoming the top selling model for the 6th consecutive year. The occasion also marked the completion of 110 years for Vauxhall in the automotive industry, building and selling cars in the UK. Another landmark is achieved by Corsa which completed its 20th year with Scottish buyers who show no sign of preferring any other models over this.

He further quoted that the achievement of Vauxhall in Scotland is a major part of its success in UK with increased market share and sales in the past year. More excitement is in store for Vauxhall with the launch of 3 new models in 2013 and more of them to succeed in 2014. The company is into redefining its products with proposals of launching new engines in the near future and intending to make the Vauxhall name a force to reckon with in the automobile industry in 2014.

In the meanwhile news is that the company is joining the ‘Go Ultra Low’ a campaign designed to run for 12 months along with other giants of the industry. The campaign got a boost with Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg joining in and the drive is aimed to make drivers realize the advantages of going electric and benefits they can derive from low emissions.
