The car that is designed to replace the earlier model, Sunbird is the Pontiac Sunfire. Apart from changing the name the manufacturers have also invested their time and money in changing the styling aspects. The body style was made available in the collection of sedan, convertible and coupe. All these three variants are made available in the standard SE trim level with 2.2 L 2200 OHV engine with optional engine specification of 2.3/2.4 L DOHC version. Only in the coupe and convertible models the upscale GT trim level with 2.3L LD2 engine and more advanced 2.4L LD9 “Twin Cam” engine is made available. The other additional features that made this model quite catchy are the dual exhaust, 16 inches alloy made wheels and the aggressive looking front fascia. When both the SE and GT trim levels are stopped, the new 2.2 L Ecotec is introduced in the market to give the maximum power and performance with better mileage.
