The Hyundai ix35 is also known as Tucson ix and Tucson ix35 in South Korea and Colombia respectively. This car is manufactured at the Ulsan plant of Hyundai Motors and several other places in the world. It has been in production since 2009 and has been designed by Thomas Bürkle. The model is related to several other cars that include the Hyundai Elantra, Kia Sportage, Kia Cee’d etc. several engine variants are available for the Hyundai ix35 starting from 1.6 L Gamma to 2.4 Theta II I4 and 1.7 L U-Line diesel engine to 2.0 L R-Line I4 diesel. Three transmission levels are available for the car which includes 5 & 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Ix35 dimensions read like 173.6 inches length, 71.7 inch width and 65.2 to 66.3 inches height. The wheelbase of the car is 103.9 inches and at curb weight the vehicle measures 1,425 to 1,580kg. Design of the ix35 is modeled on Hyundai ix-onic concept.
