Lexus IS from the Japanese automaker Toyota is an entry level compact executive car/luxury cars being sold since 1998. The car was rated below the Lexus’s ES and GS outside of North America and introduced as an entry level sports model. It was originally sold in Japan under the nameplate Toyota Altezza until the Lexus IS was introduced in 2006. The first generation Lexus IS 200 made its entry into Europe in 1999 while the Altezza had already made its debut in Japan in 1998. The first generation IS offered Sedan and wagon options and had inline-6 for power whereas the second generation globally launched in 2006 had V6 powered high performance sedans, the IS F for 2007 and IS250 and IS350 C hardtop convertible versions in 2008. The Lexus IS of third-generation was debuted in January 2013 and featured IS 350 and IS 250 powered by V6, F Sport variants and hybrid IS 300h.
