lexus RX | show original size
Lexus RX is a crossover SUV from mid-size luxury class manufactured and sold by the luxury division of Toyota since 1998. It was originally released as the Toyota Harrier in the Japan domestic market in 1997 and the export was started under the nameplate of Lexus RX only in 1998 March. So far we have seen three generations of Lexus RX, the first one was a compact car and the rest were segmented as mid-size. The RX series has used both the 4-wheel and front wheel drive. The model also had many gasoline Powertrains which included V6s and hybrid systems. RX is positioned below the bigger LX and GX body-on-frame SUVs in the Lexus lineup and remains as the only crossover model of the marque. The initials RX actually denote Radiant Crossover and in some market it has been named as “Recreation Cross Country”. The first generation RX 300 began sales in 1998 with a 3.0 L V6 engine.
