This Opel Ascona was the proprietary ownership of German automaker Opel who introduced the this model in market during 1977 to 1988 with three generations, 1970 to 1975, 1975 to 1981 and finally 1981 to 1988. Each of these generation models are named after alphabetical series as A, B and C. While the design started with rear wheel taking lead in driving, the front wheel took lead in controlling the driving style by the individuals in the third generation. The features were embedded year after year. In 1982 diesel engine with 1.6(55PS), five speed gear box was made available. In 1983 modified door locks and the best ignition switch are added. In the same year, improvements were made to water pump, radiator hoses and the valve seals. Its optional features like central locking, heated mirrors from the same year also seem to be impressive. In 1986 some features like front indicator lenses, colored keyed radiator grille, front spoiler and few more, made a remarkable entry of C model into market.
