Opel Rekord has come in many variants P I, PII, A, B, C, D and E each of them addressing the technology advancements happened in the respective years they belong to. The Rekod E is the latest replacing the D version. Though the wheelbase and the engine range are inherited from the car model that it replaced, it still has certain new features like slightly wider and longer with the windows quite larger and higher. Thus the entire design seems to be significantly heavier than the former model that it has replaced.
