The two features that would distinguish the Peugeot 407 from its earlier version are the steeply designed raked screen pillars and the large front grille. The early variants in this series are the coupe while the saloon came next to coupe. After four months saloon was released into the market the estate variant has been brought into light. All the EW and ES versions of the models are designed to include the multi point fuel injection thus controlling the consumption of fuel irrespective of the driving type or road type selected by the travelers. All the EW versions have employed the I4 DOHC 16 valve train for better performance where as the ES has employed the V6 DOHC 24valve option giving more power than all of the EW versions.
The common rail direct injection method is used by all of the latest variants that came in the naming convention of DV6, DW10, DW12, DT17 and DT20 thus giving more benefits by saving the fuel.
