Vespa PX was introduced as a new line product in Milan in 1977. It was given a steel chassis a single cylinder engine with aluminum head, two drum brakes, revised rear axle and new front suspension for more stability. It was marketed and sold as Vespa P 125 X and the model with electronic ignition was sold as Vespa P 200 E, the E standing for “electronic”. Since 1978 it was marketed as Vespa P 150 X. In 1981 the PX 80 was introduced. In 1983 the scooter went through innovative fuel gauges and separate lubrication changes and came to know as the Arobaleno series and outside Italy it was known as the Lusso series. A sporty variant of the Vespa PX was introduced to the market in 1985 which had a power of almost 12hp. In 1992 it was offered with T5 motor and was sold as Vespa PX125 T5 Classic. Production of the PX was halted in 2007.
