It has been manufactured since the year(s) 1999 up to its current timers’ 2012 version. Bike models manufactured during the years 1999 to 2003 were alike, with the 1602cc engines. In the year 2004 bikes’ were made to possess the displacement of up to 1,670cc. Few designer versions that were modeled in the year 2004 included the new Aluminum wheels without tubes, a skinny driving belt with different engine chassis hues. Bike Road Star looked its sleekly best, had a sporty sibling called Road Star Warrior (Yamaha) with a fuel injection of a 1,700cc engine that had been made with an all aluminum chassis. Road Star got an unchanged frame till the year 2008 about the time when an electronic fuel injection got introduced into the mo-bike. Variation(s) to Road Star came along differentiating its trimming and paraphernalia.

The bike has a stable steering geometry, but it can take on twisters at respectable pace. I replaced the front wheel with a 17 inch wheel from a GSX-R250 (bolts on without any modes), which makes the handling more quicker, but with the smaller wheel, the bike stands with less lean on the side stand, which can make it less stable on canted grounds...
