yamaha rx 100 | show original size
Yamaha RX100, was a 98cc lighter weight motorcycle produced by Yamaha for the Indian markets. In production from 1985 to 1995, RX100 was an extremely popular model to be in demand in the north Indian markets. The motorcycle had a very standard sitting posture and nothing flashy about its design, but the feature which attracted most of the young bikers was that the pick - up was superb. The minuscule 98cc engine produced a handsome 11 horsepower at 7500 RPM and this does not give the slightest idea about the swift pick – up delivery. During its tenure of production it underwent various modifications and upgrades. The newer versions were installed with disc brakes and added a fifth gear. The upgrade versions comprised of a bigger 135 cc engine, called RX 135, with consequent increased power and torque. Being an extremely durable, cost effective and powerful, the motorcycle generated a large fan following.
