Fiat Punto is a supermini car which was manufactured in 1993 and the third generation of this car is known as the Grande Punto. There have been a lot of changes to the name and specifications of this car and more than 8.5 million Puntos have been produced until 2012. Fiat Punto was launched to replace the ageing Uno and Punto was also voted for the European Car of the Year for 1995. Initially, Punto was made available as the 3-door hatchback, 5-door hatchback and 2-door convertible. Fiat Punto gained so much popularity that GT versions, Sports versions and convertibles were also made available over the time. The second generation of Fiat Punto came with Electrical power steering with two operation modes and this reduced the fuel consumption.
