Mazda cosmos was introduced first time in 1964 in Tokyo. It was the 1st sports car that time top speed of this Mazda L10 model is 115 mph. Mazda Cosmo is the world’s first dual rotor rotary engine car. All the Cosmo models are handmade and that time only one model was made per day. The first Cosmo car was powered by a Type 10A engine (2 x 398cc).  It had an output power of 110 hp.  Later for L10A model    version of engine size was increased to 2 x 491cc.  It was first sports car of Mazda. It was equipped with developed high strength carbon based apex seals. It gives output of 110 hp with 4-speed manual transmission.

Later in 1968 2nd generation Mazda Cosmo L10B was introduced. It had an output of 128 hp and it had an additional feature of 5-speed manual transmissions. It had a top speed of 120mph.
