Mazda CX-5 is manufactured by Mazda, Japan since 2012 and is in production with its 2013 model year. It is a compact crossover SUV and is being assembled in Japan, Malaysia, Russia and China. This small crossover SUV is a five-door vehicle and is designed with a front engine layout and four-wheel or front-wheel-drive. The Mazda CX-5 is related to the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6. Powertrain inducted into the CX-5 ranged from 2.0L Petrol, 2.5L Petrol and a 2.2L Diesel and were available with either 6-speed automaticor6-speed manual gearbox. The car was introduced with the Skyactiv Technology which featured lightweight, rigid platform and when it was combined with various engines and transmissions produced lessened fuel consumption and CO2 emission. The technology was introduced in the Compact Sedan and Hatchback of Mazda 3 in 2012. The 2.0 L is capable of producing 162hp and 155 lb-ft torque and offers an estimated 28mpg per Imperial gallon.
