This Porsche 996 is the first model that is designed to replace the old air cooled system with the new and trendy water cooled system. The model has also been progressively improved to attain stringent noise regulations along with high expectations defined for refinement. Environment concerns are well taken care by this model by providing the high performing 4 valve operating per cyclinder of the engine thus ensuring maximum fuel utilization. The attributes qualifying the model from the exterior aspect are the sleeker body with the steeply raked windshield while the redesigned interior increase the overall score made by the car when compared with its competitive models from other brands.
The body style is made available as usual in the 2 door coupe and 2 door convertible which is quite suitable for the sports drive. However, the transmission used was bit high at 5 speed automatic where, the 6 speed manual transmission is also found in the engines used in this model.
