The production of Dodge Neon was started in 1995 and an interesting thing to note here is that it was sold in Europe, Mexico, Canada, and elsewhere outside the United States as the Chrysler Neon. Due to the high demand, Neon was presented for sale in different versions and configurations over the time and its production came to an end in 2005. At first, it was made available as a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe and SOHC and DOHC were the two engines available at that time.
An interesting thing to note is that for certain colors like red and black, had bumper covers molded in color which looked good. In Australian markets, Neon was presented in two models; the SE and the better-equipped LX. Later, the LX model was replaced by the LE with the updated model in 1999. The CS model was presented in Europe only at that time.
