Dodge Neon SRT 4 is a sport compact car and its production was started from 2003 and surprisingly it was discontinued just 2 years later in 2005. A lot of people wonder why there is a 4 in the name of the car. Well, the reason is that it denotes the numbers of cylinders of the engine. It generated a power of SAE 215 hp (160 kW) (2003 model). Tests and results show that the SRT produces even more power than the company claims.
If we talk about the engine then the same basic engine block as the naturally aspired 2003+ 2.4L. in 2005, a Commemorative Edition for Neon SRT was introduced that showcased the factory upgrade parts for SRT 4. This car won several awards during its short period of production and 2005 John Lingenfelter Memorial Trophy is one of them. It was also on the first place in Automobile magazine, March 2004.
