This is a great compact car by the Chrysler’s corporation of Dodge’s division and it means to fly or pass off quickly. At first it was launched as a two door coupe and a 4 door sedan but a station wagon was also introduced later. The production of the Aspen was started in 1976 and it was named as the Car of the Year for 1976 along with Plymouth Volare.
After 5 years of production, they were replaced by front-wheel-drive K-cars. Aspen also holds a special value as computer technology was used in its body engineering. Aspen and Volare go side by side as they have a lot in common and they nearly bankrupted Chrysler because of the defects and bugs. As a result, a recalled version was offered for sale in 1978 and the new model got new fenders and a galvanized sheet was also there. It had a A230 3-speed manual transmission.
