The Dodge Journey is a mid-size crossover SUV and its production was started in 2008. Actually it was presented at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 for the first time and another version was released for the Chinese markets. That version was marketed as JCUV. There were no changes in the next three years and it underwent a big facelift in 2011.
There were new and modified grille, lower front fascia, interior, suspension, steering, powertrain, and use of Dodge's new logo. A shocking news came on surface when Dodge announced that it would stop the marketing of Dodge and will market it as Fiat Freemont (a Ulysse replacement). The Freemont is still being made in Mexico. V6 engine offered in North America was a 3.5 L (214 cu in) with a six-speed automatic transmission, producing 235 hp. Overall Journey was a great car but poor advertising and lack of interest from Dodge didn’t let it get famous as it should have.
