Fiat 127 is a supermini model and it was first produced in 1971 when it replaced Fiat 850. The production of Fiat 127 ended in 1983 when Fiat Uno replaced it. At first, it was made available as only two-door saloon. The next year, a three-door hatchback model was manufactured with a full-depth rear door and folding rear seat. Rugged 903 cc overhead valve engine was installed in Fiat 127 and it also had an amazing feature of unique transverse leaf spring suspension at the rear. This model also won the European Car of the Year award for 1972 and it was a huge success. It remained to be the best selling cars in Europe for several years.
