The compact engine along with the transverse engine has resulted in occupying less space in the overall size of the car. Also with the attempts made for wider body has helped in providing extra interior space which has given the scope for Peugeot 204 to compete with the larger cars. The sliding steel panel sunroof is the mentionable interior that was catchy to the viewers. Initially the four door sedan was only offered, where as the five door break giving the closed body with the interior matching to the requirement of carrying the passengers. The two door cabriolet is also introduced in the market with the open ended body style thus making it perfect for the tours with friends.
