The Suzuki GSX-R600 has always followed the same growth and development cycle of the GSX-R750, both getting updates at the same time and traditionally 1 year behind that of the flagship GSX-R1000. Also, recently both the GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 have typically received much of the same technology as the GSX-R1000 as well, albeit a year behind. The current machine features innovations such as Suzuki’s S-DMS fuel map selector, titanium exhaust, fully-adjustable suspension and top-of-the-line radial brake calipers. Where 600s used to play second fiddle to some of the bigger machines to keep costs down, in recent years they have benefitted from all the bells and whistles as their elder siblings.
The large dash also included a groundbreaking LED-style warning light panel. The 37mm front fork was a leading-axle type, now with air assist, and the sturdier swing arm an aluminum alloy fabrication based on those of the superbikes. This bike gives a really good estimate of the petrol as seen with the mileage.
