Representing the Sports Touring Category the bike earned many distinctions in 2003. But the 2004 models included a new ABS version and a non-ABS version with anodized brake calipers. Other updates included 320mm disc brakes, upgraded suspension and fairing package for small accessories. The next model for 2005 was physically unchanged offering both a non-ABS and an ABS model. Generation 2 was introduced in 2006 and the design updates included revised final drive ratio, trailing arm changes, curved radiator with more space, upgraded alternator, instrumentation changes and airflow changes to reduce heating issues.
