Volkswagen Bora has been a small family car in production since 1979 and it is manufactured by the Volkswagen, Germany. It is derived from the VW Group A platform and is placed to fill above the Golf hatchback niche of the firm. The vehicle was marketed through its six generations and were sold under various names that include Volkswagen Bora, Atlantic, City Jetta, Fox, GLI, Jetta, Jetta City, Sagitar, and Clasico. The Golf hatchback was the forerunner for the Jetta and a conventional trunk was adapted originally and styling at the front end and slightly in the interior was added to bring out the Jetta. The Jetta or Bora came in different body types such as a two and four door sedan/saloon, 5-door estate/station wagon and all are designed to accommodate five passengers. Worldwide 6.6 million cars were sold by 2005 and the US accounted for over one third of them.
