Ever since its inception as a Cruiser mo-bike; the Yamaha V-Max, also known as the VMAX since the year 2008, had been produced by Yamaha from the year 1985. It has power-filled V4 engine, its shaft-ridden drive, along with its distinct form of styling arrangement. V-Max got its well-designed form with the help from Atsushi Ichijo being an integral part of the team led by Akira Araki that got their inputs from the likes of Ed Burke and John Reed. When it got released in the year 1985, V-Max gathered critical acclamation instantly, that led to the achievement of the coveted title of ‘Bike of the Year’ coming from the Cycle Guide. This bike sold well in Japan and other countries abroad; and there were only slight alterations in the V-Max that went into the markets beginning from the year 1985 till the year 2007. Until the year 2008, the first form of V-Max got offered for sales’ purposes from side to side through Star Motorcycles’ division of the Yamaha Motorbikes.
