Almost all of us might have seen this world famous car and it is a small family car by category and was produced by French manufacturer Renault. Its production was started in 1981 and American Motors Corporation started producing its variants. During its career, it was given 3 facelifts which changed a lot of its original build. At first the Renault 11 was presented for sale as a 5 door hatchback and a 3 door version was also there.
Credit has to be given to Renault because after a poor reception by the customers, they assigned more than 500 people to the project and spent more than 14500000 hours of study and research just to improve the car. It was the result of their hard work that this car won The European Car of the Year award for the year 1982. Fuel injections was introduced in the later versions that further improved the car.
