The GSX600 Katana is more of an economy commuter with an old chassis and engine design. It is also a heavy, softly sprung, and has wooden brakes. It is also an air cooled bike not liquid cooled. It’s more of an old man’s bike that's looking for a more comfortable ride. Riding a Katana compared to a GSXR 600 or the other 600’s are like night and day. The katana just doesn't compare. The GSXR 600 is more of a race/performance bike with its close gearing, pristine handling, narrow power band, and relentlessly responsive brakes. It’s an amazing bike that you could never get tired of. You also wont out grow it quickly like you will with a katana.
Honda started making the fuel injected bike first so those are great bikes. If you’re not looking to spend much or are afraid you might tip over on accident than i wouldn't be looking for a perfectly minty one.
