Chevrolet Chevelle was a midsized car model manufactured by General Motor’s Chevrolet division from 1964 to 1977. There were three generations of Chevelle cars were produced in the GM’s A-Body platform and they became very well known name plates during their reign. The designs included Sedans, coupes, station wagons and convertibles. The model year 1973 also found the super sports versions as 1973 models and through 1973 to 1976 it was the Lagunas. Chevelle lineup was introduced with El Camino after an absence of 3 years. The Chevelle model also became the platform for the 1970 introduced Monte Carlo. Malibu, which became the top model through 1972 took the place of Chevelle as 1978 downsized and redesigned models. Chevelle was available in 2-door and 4-door hardtop, sedan, coupe and station wagon during its production and these models were offered with 3 and 4 speed manual transmission and 2 and 3 speed automatic.
