Citroen Xsara Picasso can be categorized as a compact five door MPV which was first produced in 1999 and its production was stopped in 2010. However, it underwent the first facelift in 2004 and came with minor modification to the front design. At first, when it was going to be released by Citroen, there were two trim levels present at that time; LX and SX with a choice of three four-cylinder engines; a 1.6 and 1.8 litre petrols, and a 2.0 Litre HDI diesel engine, all shared with the smaller Citroën Xsara.
The great thing about the Xsara Picasso is that it was called as the most popular MPV in the United Kingdom by Autotrader.co.uk due to its practicality and affordability. Obviously the name Picasso comes with the family of Pablo Picasso and the granddaughter Marina also sued her uncle for giving the license to use Pablo’s name for a car.
