daihatsu rocky | show original size
Daihatsu Rocky is a mini SUV which as manufactured by Daihatsu in 1987 and its production had to be stopped in 1998 because of some reasons. Rocky is also known as Lovibond rocky in Japan and Sportak in UK and Feroza in some parts of the world. There was a powerful 1600 cc 16Valve inline-four petrol engine installed in the Rocky which delivered enough power. Moreover it had a manual gearbox and an Asian automatic transmission and it was a 4 wheel drive depending upon the driver’s requirement.
The first generation of the Rocky lasted 4 years from 1989 to 1993. It underwent some facelifts during its production but there was no major change and the change was limited to different grilles with early cars having a chromed unit. There was a 5 speed manual transmission installed in it. The second generation lasted from 1994 to 1999 and there was a 6-valve 1.6 litre multi-point injected engine installed in it.
