Middle sized crossover SUV, produced by Toyota, referred to as the Toyota Highlander or the Kluger is an action-packed vehicle by Toyota. It is quite evident that the vehicle has been made on the platform of the Toyota Camry vehicular product. It was announced in the month of April in the year 2000 at Automotive Show held in New York that the Toyota Highlander would make an arrival in the later part of the year 2000 in the Japanese market and then in the month of January, 2001, the vehicle would arrive in North America, making the Highlander as the first car-styled mid-sized SUV or better still, the midsized crossover car model. Highlander is not a stereotypical vehicle and is the crossover counterpart to 4Runner that was made available on demand. While the 4Runner happens to be the jagged, strong, counterpart to the Highlander, bearing its source link in the total truck model, it is midsized and it soon came out to be Toyota's best-ever SUV sold prior to the time when the sales figures got surpassed by the smaller in size RAV4 in 2006. The vehicle is called Toyota Kluger due to obvious reasons.
