Chrysler Neon is also known as Plymouth and it was mainly sold in areas like Europe, Mexico, Canada, and elsewhere outside the United States. Neon is a compact front wheel drive and its sale was started in 1994. It was a huge success in its time and that is the reason why it was offered for sale in many different versions over the time. The first generation of the Neon lasted for five years and it was a four door sedan and a 2 door coupe.
Two kinds of engines were used, namely; SOHC and DOHC and they were Chrysler's 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine producing 132 hp (98 kW) at 6000 rpm and 129 lb·ft (175 N·m) at 5000 rpm. In some countries, it was offered for sale in two versons; SE and a special version LX. Neon enjoyed huge success for many years and its production was stopped in 2005.
