citroen gsa

The Citroen GSA was produced for 7 years from 1979 to 1986 and it is categorized as a small family car. It holds to honor to have won the European car of the year award in 1971. Another special thing about this car is that it was probably the most technologically advanced car at that time. The prominent features were class leading comfort, safety and great aerodynamics.

It is to be noted that GSA had a front-wheel drive layout and was powered by a flat-4 air-cooled engine. However, some of the small engines were presented later like 1015, 1129, 1222 and 1299 cc. The four disc brakes were powered from the hydraulic system and offered great protection overall. GSA can also be said as one of the fewest western cars to have made it to Germany. It was presented in following body styles; 4-door fastback, 5-door hatchback, 5-door estate and 3-door van.
