There are concepts that come like a storm and go like lightning. Triumph Adventurer was one of them. The original release in the second half nineties, the Triumph Adventurer 900 was a smash hit and went on to become one of the stop sellers of the company. The major attraction was the 885 cc engine which boasted of powerful performance and superior pickup. The following versions experienced major changes but lacked the originality that adventurer was expected of and consequently suffered sales dip. Released as a competition to the Harley bikes and as an alternative to the Thunderbird, Adventurer has its run. Although quite costly for an average buyer, one bought, it delivered superb control, handling and value. With thick military colors and shining visible parts, the bike offered a superior look and masculine feel. Owing to the continuously poor performance on the sales charts, this bike was discontinued after 2001.
