triumph speed triple | show original size
Triumph Speed Triple series of motorcycle is manufactured by the Triumph Motorcycles of UK. It was the earliest Streetfighter style bike of the reborn Triumph in 1994. The bike is a contemporary sports bike or a replica of a racing bike with aerodynamic body styling with plastic. The bike debuted in 1994 and was dubbed as the Speed Triple significantly with reference to the 1938 Speed Twin. In its day the Twin was slotted as a high performance bike with a 498cc vertical cylinder engine and the Triple is offered a modular engine based on Triumph Triple series. The engines also power Thunderbird retro bike and Daytona sport bike. For the European market the engine came in the displacement of 750cc and for other markets it was an 855cc. The initial bikes were designated as T300 series and were carbureted and possessed an 885cc water cooled and 5-gear transmission for rugged handling. All the future models featured 6-transmissions with the same engine.
