Both these models were released in 1987 and 1989 respectively in Europe and both were assembled at the DAF plant in the Netherlands. The 440 was a front wheel drive 5-door hatchback and the 460 was a saloon. There were several alert systems included to ensure optimum safety to the driver and occupants.
